The Art & Science of

Client Retention

The place where I share my deep thoughts, observations, experiences, and frameworks

#2: WHY specialize in Client Retention?

Have you ever wondered...

Why are many people selling lead-generation services?

Marketers and gurus promise to teach you their "proven method" of getting leads.

Agencies promise they can get you high-quality leads using their "proprietary method".

Then sales gurus promise to teach you effective closing methods...

And double your sales.

Did you realize something important is missing?

Seems like no one emphasizes Client Retention.

Seems like many people are just interested in getting the money.

But they don't really care about serving people well and keeping them.

That explains a HUGE problem in the industry.

Businesses are facing problems with CHURN.

The market has also grown more skeptical.

Trust is at an all-time low.

Because many people have been overpromised.

But they left feeling utterly disappointed.

Many gurus charge big money.

Naturally, clients get frustrated when delivery doesn't meet expectations.

Or the client experience is simply horrible.

This is the consequence of putting Profits > People.

I know what it feels like.

I've had lots of negative experiences too.

I've bought numerous courses...

Attended many coaching programs...

Joined high-level masterminds...

Studied with various top mentors in the industry.

They all have something in common.

Trust leaks somewhere along the client’s journey.

Eventually, the client leaves.

It doesn’t matter how long the business has been around.

Those who have been in business for 20 to 40 years are still making the same mistakes.

They lose clients without knowing why.

I decided to specialize in Client Retention and plug the gap in the market.

What makes me qualified to do so?

Through my experience and observations...

There are only 2 core pillars in Client Retention:

Trust + Meaning

When either pillar is missing...

Clients leave.

I started my career as a therapist.

Caring for the people I serve comes naturally to me.

Care leads to trust.

They know I have their best interests at heart.

They also know I've the required expertise to help them.

My skills are relevant.

So, attending my therapy sessions is meaningful to them.

I've had patients asking for my contact number to keep in touch.

Some of my patients were reluctant to get discharged.

Because they could not attend my sessions after returning home.

This is proof that I'm not talking theory.

I've also won awards for Service Quality and Quality Improvement.

After I started my business...

I helped a client "retain" her husband,

and rekindle her marriage.

They were already contemplating divorce.

Their previous visits to marriage therapists and counsellors didn't move the needle.

What's the magic?

I used the evergreen principles of Retention. (You'll discover them along the way in this blog)

Retention is retention.

It applies to your partner, your team member, your client, and even your spouse.

As long as you're communicating with humans...

It's highly likely to work.

If you're keen to retain more clients.

You want them to stay willingly...

Without you using manipulative, sleazy, or deceptive tactics.

You care deeply for your clients.

You want to build a business where clients don't want to leave.

Then the People > Profits Collective will feel like home to you.

I'll see you on the inside...

Whenever you're ready.

Let's take the lead.

And change the industry together.

From Profits > People.

To People > Profits.

Always.
